Gardner Statement on Anniversary of 9/11 Attacks

Washington, DC - Rep. Cory Gardner (CO-4) released the following statement on the anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks:

“12 years ago, Americans witnessed a terrible tragedy carried out by cowards. But on that day, the world witnessed the triumph of American spirit, shown by the first responders rushing into burning buildings, passengers who fought back on flight 93, and average citizens who helped strangers to safety.

“As we mark this solemn day, we vow to never forget those who lost their lives and their loved ones. We thank and honor our first responders and members of our armed services, who have demonstrated heroic actions in the aftermath. And we renew our commitment to protect and defend the freedoms that continue to make America the greatest country in the world.”

Congressman Gardner is a member in the U.S. House of Representatives serving Colorado's 4th Congressional District. He sits on the Energy and Commerce Committee and is a member of the following Subcommittees: Communications and Technology, Energy and Power, and Oversight and Investigations.
