Gardner Seeking Volunteers to Join Him for United Way’s Day of Action

WELD COUNTY, COLO. – Congressman Cory Gardner (CO-04) is calling on fellow citizens and community leaders to join him for United Way of Weld County’s Day of Action on Saturday, June 22nd. The day-long event of service connects hundreds of community volunteers to local non-profits and charity organizations.

“I believe that we have a responsibility to take care of our neighbors and our communities,” Gardner said. “The United Way’s Day of Service is a great opportunity to come together as a community and roll up our sleeves to make a difference. This event is so important because it not only provides local non-profits with much-needed help on the day of service, but also inspires members of the community to commit themselves to future volunteer projects.”

Gardner will be joined by State Representative Lori Saine and State Senator Vicki Marble, along with hundreds of volunteers from across the county, to volunteer at several sites in the Carbon Valley area. The Carbon Valley event kicks off with a free breakfast for volunteers at the Rinn United Methodist Church in Frederick.

Gardner is encouraging people from across the district as well as their friends and families to sign up for the Day of Service. Interested volunteers should contact Emma Wood with the United Way of Weld County at 970-304-6198 or by visiting
