Gardner Cosponsored Legislation Condemning Hamas Passes House

Washington, DC – Today, the House of Representatives passed a resolution condemning Hamas’s use of civilians as human shields, which Congressman Cory Gardner (CO-04) cosponsored. The legislation passed the House with unanimous consent. Congressman Gardner released the following statement upon passage:

“Hamas has taken to employing truly barbaric tactics, such as using innocent civilians as human shields. Not only is this immoral, but it is a violation of international law. We must remain united against this terrorist organization and stand with Israel, our greatest ally in an increasingly unstable region. The unanimous passage of this resolution signifies that this humanitarian issue rises above all else in the United States. Hamas must cease their actions, for the sake of the people living in Gaza.”

Congressman Gardner is a member in the U.S. House of Representatives serving Colorado's 4th Congressional District. He sits on the Energy and Commerce Committee and is a member of the following Subcommittees: Communications and Technology, Energy and Power, and Oversight and Investigations.
