Gardner Announces New VA Clinic in Lamar

Washington, DC – Congressman Cory Gardner (CO-04) announced today that final contract approval has been granted for the new Veterans Affairs (VA) clinic in Lamar, Colorado. The new clinic is set to open this fall.

“Many veterans have reached out to me, expressing their concerns about the current state of the clinic in Lamar, and how important it is that they have access to quality healthcare,” said Gardner. “The stories that veterans have shared with me about the positive impacts that this new clinic would have in southern Colorado were crucial in my meetings with VA officials on the Lamar clinic.

“A big thank you goes out to both Deputy VA Secretary Sloan Gibson and Lynette Roff, Director of the VA’s Eastern Colorado Health Care System, for all the work they’ve done to make this possible. I am encouraged by this step, and look forward to continuing the conversations we’ve been having to ensure that all veterans in Colorado have access to the healthcare options that best suit their needs.”

Congressman Gardner is a member in the U.S. House of Representatives serving Colorado's 4th Congressional District. He sits on the Energy and Commerce Committee and is a member of the following Subcommittees: Communications and Technology, Energy and Power, and Oversight and Investigations.
