Location #1: Windsor Reservoir Outlet Channel (9:00-9:20 AM)
(Windsor Reservoir near Severance is not to be confused with Windsor Lake near Windsor)County Rd. 74 (Harmony Rd. in Ft. Collins), about 5.5 miles east of I-25 and around 0.5 miles east of Hwy 257 is the outlet channel (ditch), north side of the road, immediately to the west of the channel is a gated dirt road. Enter into that road and park near the other cars.
Location #2: Town of Severance Water Storage & Booster Pumping Station (9:40-9:55 AM)
Travel east on County Rd. 74 around 1.4 miles from the outlet channel, turn north on County Rd. 21(CR 21 is just west of Severance. There’s a house on the NW corner and a small tan structure and some large piping on the NE corner). Travel north on CR 21 about 1.5 miles (the pavement ends and there’s some “washboarding,” but it’s not too bad), just past County Road 76 ½, drive over the bridge, and immediately turn west on a private road. Follow the road about 0.3 miles to the station. The large tan water tank is visible from CR 21.
Location #3:Leffler Farm near Eaton (10:10-10:30 AM)
The address is 16602 CR 74, Eaton. The farm is around 6 miles east of CR 21, and around 0.5 miles east of CR 33, or 1 3/4 miles west of the intersection of Hwy 85 and CR 74. It’s on the south side of the road. Park near the machine shed. There’s a grass area east of the parking area where the event will be held.
